AWS Storage Gateway expands file gateway to run on Microsoft Hyper-V
AWS Storage Gateway has expanded file gateway to run on Microsoft Hyper-V 2008 R2 and 2012, in addition to the VMware and Amazon EC2 options previously available.
File gateway enables you to store and retrieve Amazon S3 objects through standard file storage protocols. With file gateway, existing applications or devices can use secure and durable cloud storage without needing to be modified.
You can download the Hyper-V virtual machine (VM) images for file gateway when creating a new gateway in the AWS Storage Gateway management console. This is available in all AWS regions from today. For more information, see our Getting Started documentation or try it out now!
